ALASKA BIG GAME HUNTING OUTFITTER!

I was raised in remote wilderness Alaska and has over 55 years of experience hunting big game within Alaska.  During his decades of travel throughout the State, he’s explored the temperate rainforest of Southeast Alaska, the rugged coast of Southcentral Alaska, the windswept tundra of Western Alaska and the Aleutian Chain, the mountainous heights of Interior Alaska, and the frigid sub-Arctic environment of Northern Alaska.

After experiencing so much of Alaska, Robert chose to base his professional hunting operation near Prince William Sound and within the Nelchina Basin.  Those two regions of Alaska offer exceptional hunting for coastal Alaskan brown bear, interior mountain grizzly, Dall sheep, Alaska/Yukon moose, barren ground caribou, mountain goat, black bear, wolf and wolverine.  I have been operating a professional hunting guide business within those two regions the past 30+ years.

I pride himself on his attention to detail and organizational skills, along with providing an educational experience and a wealth of knowledge about Alaska, its natural environment and natural habitats, its wildlife, and its cultures, to his clientele and associated hunting advocates and other outdoor enthusiasts. The adventure hunting expeditions that Robert offers are truly an education about Alaska’s history and its natural resources.

Large camps, lodge-type facilities, large numbers of personnel, high volume of clientele, and elaborate infrastructure are not part of my business plan.  Rather, I operate a full-time year-round professional hunting service that’s based on a “leave no trace” environmental policy.  My business practice is focused on personalized service and custom-tailored big game hunting.  Therefore, I personally escort all hunts and oversees every aspect of a hunt, from direct communication with potential clients, to booking each hunt, and to actually being in the field with each individual hunter.  This is truly a personalized, custom-tailored, professional hunting operation.  In addition, I have an attitude toward honest on-the-ground fair chase big game hunting.

Individual camps are the old tradition of an Alaskan “spike camp” from years gone by.  Even still, camps are warm, dry, clean, comfortable and relatively spacious.  Each person is provided their own self-contained accommodation.  This assures privacy and relative space for each individual person.  Camps are situated among the animals that I am  hunting, and it’s not uncommon for large big game animals to wander through or alongside a campsite.  This even applies to Dall sheep and mountain goats.  So, it’s not surprising that trophy big game animals have been taken right in camp.  But that can’t always be expected, so a hunter should plan to do at least some walking and climbing and searching with optics.

Meals are excellent and based on a proven high-energy expedition diet that I personally developed during his many years of exploring and traveling throughout Alaska.  The menu is quite varied and highly nutritional, and there’s plenty of food.  Some hunters have commented that they’ve actually gained body weight during the course of a hunt provided..  So, don’t expect to be put on rations, because there’s plenty of high-energy caloric food.  I also have the ability to custom-tailor camp menus for hunters who have food allergies, medical conditions or religious preferences.

Access to individual camp locations is via highly modified Piper PA-18 aircraft.  This allows access to remote habitats where trophy-class big game animals reside, and to setup camps right among the animals.  This also eliminates the need for backpacking, as highly modified aircraft is able to deposit hunters and camp equipment at remote wilderness locations and within remote pockets of prime habitat.  This makes things especially convenient for older hunters and those who have limited physical ability.

If you’re looking for a unique hunting experience based on an educational theme, and you want to see Alaska as few people ever do, then please don’t hesitate to contact me.  I would be thrilled to discuss Alaska and Alaskan big game hunting with you.  Until then, best wishes and good hunting, and as always, may God bless. Rob
