Alaska Sheep Hunting
My sheep hunts are ten days duration. Hunts are conducted in the Talkeetna Mountains and the Chugach Mountains. During the last three decades I've consistently guided successful sheep hunts in these mountain ranges. Hunts in the Talkeetna Mountains are via over-the-counter tags. Hunts in the Chugach Mountains are by drawing permit only and the Chugach Mountains also offer one of Alaska's archery-exclusive areas.
I do not offer backpack hunts, unless specifically requested. Access to the hunting area is via modified Piper PA-18 Supercub aircraft and my camps are situated well above timberline; in alpine basins and on mountaintops that are inhabited by sheep. It is not uncommon for hunters to have opportunities to kill rams right from their tents. However, some walking is usually involved. But, my sheep hunts are not necessarily strenuous and they are suitable for elderly hunters.

Mountain goat are also available - on a trophy fee basis - in the Chugach Mountains portion of my Guide Use Area. I am certified for Game Management Units 13 and 14 and my sheep hunts are conducted within those game management units.

I provide one-on-one (hunter:guide ratio) hunts and two-on-one (hunters:guide ratio) hunts. In order to protect quality and to ensure an aesthetically pleasing experience, I offer only two sheep hunts each year. I also personally guide all of my hunts, as I do not employ assistant guides. So, when a client books a hunt with me, he or she then gets to hunt with me.
Hunts Are All-Inclusive From Anchorage, Alaska And Includes Airfare To/From The Field. All Hunts Are Personally Guided By The Outfitter.
